We are looking for a talented Senior Full Stack Developer (Backend Focus) to join our partner’s remote team in Malaysia. This role is ideal for someone who is highly skilled in Laravel and API-led development, with solid experience across both backend and frontend technologies. You will collaborate on global and local projects, designing and delivering high-quality, secure, and scalable web solutions. While backend development will be your primary focus, you should also be comfortable contributing to the frontend when needed. This position requires working in alignment with the Malaysian timezone. Key Responsibilities Lead backend development with Laravel, focusing on building scalable, maintainable applications. Design, develop, and optimize RESTful APIs (JSON/REST) for seamless integrations. Ensure code quality, security, and performance through best practices and testing. Collaborate with UX/UI and product teams to deliver high-performing web applications. Contribute to frontend development using Blade, Bootstrap, HTML, CSS, and VueJS (or similar) when required. Troubleshoot performance issues, optimize queries, and improve system architecture. Provide transparent updates on project progress, meeting deadlines and agreed deliverables. Key Skills & Requirements Strong expertise in Laravel and backend architecture. Proven experience with API-led development (JSON/REST). Proficiency in SQL-based storage solutions and data integration. Experience with Blade, Bootstrap, HTML, CSS, and at least one modern JavaScript framework (VueJS preferred). Solid understanding of secure, testable, and scalable coding practices. Familiarity with Agile methodologies is a plus. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Ability to work remotely while adhering to Malaysian working hours.
